Your privacy is fundamental to this app. Ekadashi is built to work entirely on your device. We do not run servers, we do not have user accounts, and we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There are no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking.
What the app uses on your device
- Location. With your permission, the app reads your location once on your device to compute accurate, sunrise-based Ekadashi fasting and Parana timings for your area. Your location is used only for these calculations and your last-known coordinates may be stored locally on your device so the app works offline. It is never sent to us or any third party. You can use the app without granting location access by setting a city manually, and you can change or revoke this permission anytime in your device Settings.
- Notifications. If you enable reminders, they are scheduled and delivered locally by your device. We do not operate push servers and send no notifications from outside your device.
- Your fasting history. Fasts you mark as observed, streaks, and your preferences are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere. Removing the app deletes this data.
Purchases
Optional contributions and the monthly patron option are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment information. Apple's handling of purchases is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Data we collect
None. Because everything runs on your device, we have no access to your data and maintain no database of users.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
